You’ve done your research and it’s time to contact us about your custom home. We always love to be personable meaning a quick phone call together or face to face meeting over coffee.
Our first no-obligation conversation will be outlining the general information of what you want. This may include your house size, number of bedrooms, land type, location and most importantly your budget. In the first couple conversations, we ultimately like to gather as much information of your wants and needs so that we can provide an accurate budget before taking the next step.
Let’s put ink to paper!
Once we’ve discussed everything you’d like in your home, the next step is to begin the design. At this point we will provide a quote to draw the plans and discuss timelines.
We will go through several versions and designs of your home in order to get it just right, while keeping in mind your expectations and previous discussions regarding functionality and budget.
Design timeline – this step will typically take anywhere from 6 – 8 weeks dependent on number of changes and level of complexity.
What do you want?!
Since the first time you contacted us, we have been slowly creating a list of everything to be included in your home. We call this our specification or in other words the bible to your new home. Now that the floor plans are well on their way, we can work towards finalizing your custom home specification.
Let’s get some hard numbers!
We now have your custom home plan and specification tailored to you. We send these to our trusted trade partners to get an accurate price for all aspects of your house.
Once your house estimate is finalized, we set up a meeting to review it in person. This is where we pride ourselves on transparency and you will see the true cost of your new house. At this meeting we will discuss and confirm the allowance items, meaning the items that vary greatly in cost and are dependent on your selections.
Estimating timeline – the estimating process typically takes about 4 – 6 weeks to complete by the time we have everything back from our trade partners.

Now you’re armed with the key three – plan, specification, and estimate. It’s time to sign the construction contract and review the actual building timeline and selection process.
